The term "Buyer Beware" could not be more applicable to the purchase of a new dog. Be wary of anyone selling purebred but not registered dogs. It is an offence under the Animal Pedigree Act for any dog sold as purebred to not have a registration certificate. The breeder of the dog is fully responsible for its registration with no extra cost to the purchaser.
